I would like to welcome all of you, parents, alumni, fans, and students to the Schuyler Wrestling website. We have redesigned the website to be very similar to the SCHSpace website.
I invite you to please join as a member and browse thru the site. Some of the new features are: Blogs, History, Forms, and Photos. I am excited about the Photos tab, anyone can post their own photos. So I invite all parents to share their photos online, they will go into your "page" and I will also be able to sort them and put them into special photo files. It will be a great feature. I also invite all alumni to post some "old" pictures of your wrestling days.
Check out the history tab. It took a lot of time to tabulate all of the history of Schuyler Wrestling. If you find a mistake please email me for any correction. I hope you enjoy the website.
Next year, 2012-13 marks the 50th year of Schuyler Wrestling. We are starting to put together a special celebration. Please sign up as a member and keep in touch with what we are planning. Also, invite some of your old teammates to join as a member as well.
Thanks!!
Al Sucha
Please click on the “LIKE” button and follow us on Facebook. Hopefully, with the help of some parents and kids we can update results as they happen. Also, PLEASE forward this to as many Schuyler Wrestling Alumni, Parents, Wrestlers and Fans as possible. Thanks!! Al

The Warriors beat Aurora 40-36 and avenged their only dual loss of the year beating Central City 30-29. This was the make-up meet for the Conference tournament that was post-poned for bad weather. These were a couple of quality wins for us and it brought our dual record to 11-1. We were disappointed that there were only 3 teams out of the ten in our conference that wanted to wrestle. We were really looking forward to this meet and new it would be a great test for us. This event had us…

The Warrior Wrestling team defeated Lincoln Christian 78-6, Elkhorn 57-20, Seward 55-21, West Point 45-35, and Wisner Pilger 42-18. We knew our toughest duals would come from #7 ranked Seward and Class "C" #5 ranked West Point. I know Seward was with out a couple of their better wrestlers but I thought we wrestled pretty well against them. West Point has a couple of real studs and a really solid wrestler at each other weight so I knew they would challenge us. We also did not have a…

When I was contacted back in March about being inducted into the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a contributor I didn't think too much of it. In matter of fact it took me a few weeks to tell my wife. As the event drew closer they wanted to know "how many chairs and people will be in my party". Heck, I hadn't told more than 3 or 4 people at that time, including my immediate family. I ended up inviting just a couple of close friends, my wife and my…

This years group of wrestlers has a few seasoned veterans but overall we have a lot of new faces with guys that are untested at the varsity level. We have about 33 wrestlers competing for varsity spots. We will be very inexperienced at our upper weights and look to bring these guys on slowly. Our lower and middle weights should have a quality varsity guy at almost all weights. We return one state medalist and 4 other guys with state tournament experience. We will be competing with a lot…

On Saturday, June 4th, Al Sucha will be inducted into the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame as a wrestling contributor. This is a great honor for him and very well deserving. Al is known throughout the state and you would have to look very hard to find anyone who supports the great sport of wrestling better than him. Whether he is helping run our High School Schuyler Invite or coordinating our Jr. High meet or running our Club tournament, he is the man. Not only is he a…
